Meeting Notes - April 08by Mary Schwartz
The April meeting was the start of a two day workshop
with Laurie Autio on lace weaves. A lot of wonderful weaving
was squeezed into a short amount of time but I think most of
us made it around to most of the looms with enough material
and ideas to keep both beginners and advanced well satisfied
for a long time.
The May meeting will have Mary Ann Sanborn doing a workshop
on card weaving.
There may still be an opening so if you are still thinking
about it, check with Heidi Beckwith. I was wondering myself
where one would get cards. But the internet is an amazing
place. It turns out you can make cards out of Cheerios
boxes. And you can believe everything you read on the
internet. Really.
The program committee has done a phenomenal job. We have a
fantastic list of coming attractions for the next couple of
years.
September 2008 – Beth Guertin – Cleaning out Your Closet:
what to do with your leftover yarns.
October – Sarah Fortin’s 3 day workshop – Weaving in 3
Dimensions

color workshop. How to incorporate those seductive yarns we
just can’t resist.

April 2009 – Time to turn in your entries for the Guild Show
